Can anyone say ANIMATION & VIDEO GAMES!! A city once known for it's musicians, the city of Vancouver quickly took on the animation craze and has since become a highly respected Animation central, with a high profile in Anime and Feature Films. There is a lot of work for the professional Vancouver voice over talent with projects such as; Escape from Planet Earth, Barbie, The Nutty Professor, Ghostbusters, Luna, Being Ian, George of the Jungle, My Little Pony, Martha Speaks, Kid vs Kat, Transformers, Xmen, GI Joe, Hot Wheels, Mixed Nuts, Gaming and so much more....with companies such as Disney, Pixar, BBC, YTV, TELETOON etc.

This booming city can be a tricky market however. It’s not as strong in the commercial market as other major markets but there is still a good share of narration and commercial work to be had. There is always room for more talent, but unless you live in the community, have a very unique voice, are well connected or come in with a lot of experience, the Vancouver voice over markets is one of the toughest to break into.

Known as one of the most beautiful Cities in the world (and also one of the most expensive) this is one city that people flock to and enjoy working in. This is Canada's L.A. There are over 21 agents here such as; Characters, Principles, Levitt, Red, Pacific Artists, Lucas etc.
Theatre, Dinner Theatre and Film are a big draw to the Vancouver market as well, so it's easy to find several improv and theatre venues. Comedy clubs are big on the circuit and there are several acting schools to choose from as well.

Above all Vancouver is a breath taking place to live. The beautiful Rigid Mountain Scenery meeting with the waters of the pacific ocean combined with a downtown core that will have you visiting again and again. A very artsy community with attractions that are unique only to the culture. There is something in the air in Vancouver that brings out a strong arts community in every facet. This is a must on your education destination.
