A leading authority on voice-over and Chief Edge Officer of Edge Studio, David Goldberg has cast and directed thousands of voice-over productions. He has also coached innumerable voice actors, from beginners to top working pros and celebrities.

David says, “Although I don’t have a golden voice, I guess my ears work pretty well.”

Indeed. David's ears are considered the best in the industry.

He's known for an uncanny ability to provide super-quick yet precise direction. Because he sees things from all industry perspectives, many veteran voice actors rely on him as their mentor. David is also one of the most active directors and speakers, frequently illustrating his practical answers with fun anecdotes from his many years of experience.

Soon after founding Edge Studio as a music-recording facility in 1988, David added spoken voice recording to its repertoire. In response to many clients asking him for voice over guidance, David wrote the first edition of the "Voice Over Technique Guidebook" in 1992.

Since 2000, Edge Studio has focused exclusively on spoken voice, and is now one of the world's premiere voice over production, casting, and training facilities.

Clients and agents rely on David's ability to pinpoint the right voice actor for their production. Voice actors rely on his ability to help them find their full potential, benefiting from his perception, straight-forwardness, production savvy, and those acute ears.

People and companies that David has worked with at Edge Studio include: Nickelodeon, Disney, Pixar, DaimlerChrysler, The US Postal Service, Scholastic, IBM, The United Nations, countless radio stations, National Public Radio, ESPN, Discovery, Mel Brooks, Joan Rivers, Eartha Kitt, Tom Brokaw, John Ratzenberger, Denise Austin, Mark Linn-Baker, and scores of leading Broadway and TV performers.

Edge Studio remains one of the country's most acclaimed voice over facilities, offering voice over production, casting, and education.

Coordinating Producer

Jeffrey loves putting ducks in a row, seeing projects through from start to finish and getting everyone involved to YES! After a career in a senior administrative role at a top NYC law firm, he was the chief operations officer at a commercial illustration agency. There, he managed the entire gamut of day-to-day operations, coordinated creative assignments, and brought clients and artists together to make magic happen. He has guided projects with clients ranging from start-ups to Fortune 100 companies, including Conde Nast, Target and Apple.

Now at Edge, he looks forward to bringing his classic Libra instincts for beauty and harmony to the ever mutating needs of the Edge production department and its clients -- as he builds his own career in voice over.

In his other life, Jeffrey enjoys yoga and studying Eastern philosophy, cooking and the NYC food scene -- particularly scouting out the city’s most authentic wood oven pizza. Most of all, he savors the glow of being the father of two amazing teenagers -- as well as the laughter and legendary smile of his wife.

Director of Marketing & Community Development

Originally from Waukegan, Illinois, Leanne left the comfort of the Midwest for a life of endless buffets and extreme desert heat (but it was OK because it was a dry heat) to further her education at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She graduated with a B.S. in Business Management and went right to work gaining a wide range of experience in the corporate world, from accounting and marketing, to managing construction schedules and an entire service team for an award-winning Fortune 200 company.

Leanne played an integral role during mergers and acquisitions, creating and managing all team-building, new-hire on-boarding and training, and family events. Officially the Manager of Business Solutions & Cultural Development, she was appropriately nicknamed by co-workers as the "Director of Fun." You can ask her about it, but as the saying goes, "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas."

In 2006 Leanne doubled down and took a gamble, by moving to NYC with just two suitcases and a sense of humor. But after nine cold winters, Leanne left the Big Apple for sunny California, trading her winter coat for some sunscreen.

When Leanne's not at Edge Studio, she puts her comedy muscles to work at writing, acting and stand-up. She’s enjoying her life on the beach, learning how to walk in flip-flops, and panning for gold.

He is very excited to bring all of his skills and experiences to bear as a member of the Edge Studio team. Andrew has produced short films, counseled students and overseen projects at prestigious educational institutions including The Juilliard School and Interlochen Arts Academy. In all his operational responsibilities, his ultimate goal was to give students the tools necessary to becoming successful performing artists. In addition, he has worked at prominent post-production houses like Company 3, where he was a Production Manager working on commercials for a myriad of products including Progressive, Weight Watchers, Dos Equis, and Apple.

In his free time, Andrew is a rather serious film buff, found more often than not at various theatres around the city, basking in the glow of the silver screen. He also has an extensive background in performance, and can be seen on stage with various improvisational comedy teams around NYC. Among his more deliberative creative endeavors, Andrew has written screenplays, short fiction and comedy sketches, and has a degree in Art History & Archaeology.

It may have helped that her mom owns the theater, but after a leg-up at age 12, Hayley has come the rest of the way on talent.

She’s covered a lot of ground, with broad experience at acting, dancing, stage managing, coordinating theatrical education programs, even event planning. After obtaining her B.A. in English Creative Writing, she worked in the Special Events department at Manhattan Theatre Club, as well as directing and choreographing stage productions. She has also stage-managed and performed at regional theaters, and taught elementary school dance classes in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop and Broadway. To broaden her performance arsenal even further, Hayley completed Edge Studio's Edge-ucation program, so our Education Advisor has, in fact, booked her own professional voice over work, and knows whereof she advises.

In her spare time, Hayley loves to indoor rock climb and create new tap rhythms, with energy provided by pizza!

Amy is a bizarre combination of artist, tech geek, yogini, book nerd, and part-time foodie. The perfect eclectic mix for working with social media.

She's a Southern California native living in LA. Having graduated from Brooks Institute with a BA in Commercial Photography, she’s also a professional photographer.

Amy loves navigating the world of social media, interacting with a global audience and seamlessly creating an online presence over multiple platforms.

She also works with people one-to-one. Her techie and book-nerd skills merge when she works with audiobook narrators -- Amy helps proof, edit, and master audio files for some of the industry’s most incredible voice talent.

Amy spends the rest of her time creating fine-art photoportraits for her book projects, depicting men practicing yoga, and AcroYoga® couples. (AcroYoga is a blend of yoga, acrobatics and other arts.)

When not working, Amy practices yoga herself, enjoys her young daughter, reads, and takes advantage of Santa Monica’s beach weather being perfect all year long.

At the age of five Paul memorized Steve Martin's, "A Wild and Crazy Guy" which he would recite in living room performances for family members and neighbors. Thirty years later Paul finally moved to New York City from Hampton, Virginia to pursue his dream of performing comedy. Paul has honed his administration and audio video skills in some pretty diverse venues such as record stores and video stores, editing military training videos, television production for MTV and the Discovery Channel, owning his own UPS store and working for a fashion designer. When he's not holding down the fort at Edge, he can be found around the city performing with his improv team GLORY HAIM. Paul would also like you to know that he loves dogs, tacos, podcasts and rock music (but not necessarily in that order).

Administrative Assistant, Technology Department

Rebel is a diverse mix of highly creative ideas and highly mechanical abilities, melded through her love for people. Accordingly, she has pursued several careers. First, she concentrated on Graphic Design, attending ArtCenter College of Design and Santa Monica College, after which she ran an art department of 50 as a V.P., focused on media packaging.

After having her own company for awhile, she began exploring her “mechanical” self.
Eventually, she met George Whittam (who has since become Edge Studio’s Director of Technology), and it seemed a good professional match. The “people” part of her came to fore. Having helped people get organized all her life, she formalized her capability by setting up shop as a professional organizer, with George as one of her clients. He is the tech, and she is his administrative assistant.

Always growing, Rebel recently returned to school, to learn how to paint. Two of her paintings have been accepted for a local art show.

Native Texan Leslie Chastain has a natural appreciation for the little things in life, like watching fireflies on a warm summer night, saying good morning to her neighbors, and a small neighborhood general store called “Walmart.”
Still, she wanted to broaden her horizons and life experience a little bit more, so, after receiving degrees in Communications and Theatre from the University of Texas, Leslie packed it all up to move to New York City. Since arriving in 2011, Leslie has explored the world of acting in commercial gigs like the “Girl Watching TV” Dr. Pepper commercial, a cat food ad called “Alternate On-Call,” and one called “Lady Making your Drink.”
On the Edge Studio team, she combines her experience in education, service, and the entertainment industry to help budding artists become the best performers they can be. When not doing that working, Leslie enjoys getting hooked on new television shows, watching movies, and running to some sweet, sweet early ’90s jams.

She has more than 40 years’ experience working for media, advertising and production companies, and has converted systems to integrated accounting software. When she’s not keeping and managing our books, she keeps busy in other ways. This mother of five boys (now grown men) and grandmother to 10 awesome kids loves to dance and sing karaoke.
