Walking and Public Transportation Directions

From Grand Central Station (Metro North Railroad)

• walk (approximately 25 minutes): Exit out the main doors (opposite side from the train tracks), turn right, and walk until Seventh Avenue. Turn left onto Seventh Avenue and walk until between 28th and 27th streets. We are on the left side of the street.
• cab (approximately 10 minutes and $8 plus tip): Cabs are located outside Grand Central Station. Exit out the main doors (opposite side from the train tracks), turn right, and walk 100 feet - the cab waiting area is marked by a small kiosk and waiting line.
• subway (approximately 15 minutes and $2): Take the "S" train (the "Shuttle" train) to 42nd street. (Note - this train originates at Grand Central and ONLY goes to 42nd street). Switch to the Downtown "1" train, go two stops, and get off at 28th street. Edge Studio is across the street, between 27th and 28th.

From Penn Station (Amtrak Train and Long Island Railroad)

• walk (approximately 4 minutes): Exit Penn Station onto Seventh Avenue. Turn right and walk until halfway between 28th street and 27th street. We are on the left side of the street. (Note that Penn Station is an entire city block and has exits at all four corners... therefore make sure to use the Seventh Avenue exit.)
• cab (skip the cab and walk instead, it's only a 4-minute walk)
• subway (skip the subway and walk instead, it's only a 4-minute walk)

From Port Authority Bus Station

• walk (approximately 15 minutes): Exit the main doors onto Eighth Avenue and turn right. Walk down 8th Ave. to 28th St. Turn left onto 28th St. and walk to 7th Ave. We are on the far side of the street, halfway between 27th and 28th (closer to 28th).
• cab (approximately 5 minutes and $5 plus tip): Cabs are located outside the main doors of Port Authority.
• subway: C or E train downtown to 34th St./Penn Station (1 stop). Use the exit at the far South (downtown) end of the platform. Turn right on 8th Ave. and walk to 28th St. Turn left and walk 1 block down 28th St. to 7th Ave. We are on the far side of the street.

From Laguardia Airport

• cab (approximately 1 hour and $40 plus tip): Cab are located outside the departure doors at various cab stations. Ask an information booth attendant where to find the closest cab station.
• bus (approximately 1 hour and $10): Bus stops located outside the departure doors at various bus stops. Ask an information booth attendant where to find the closest bus stop. NOTE that busses go to only a select number of places within Manhattan - ask the bus driver for the stop closest to our location.
• subway (approximately 1 hour and $2): Take bus to the '7' train Westbound to the 42nd Street exit (in Manhattan). Switch to the '1' train downtown to the 28th Street exit. When you exit the subway, we are on the other side of the street between 27th and 28th (closer to 28th).

From Kennedy Airport

• cab (approximately 1 hour and $45 plus tip and tolls): Cabs are located outside the baggage claim areas of each terminal. Look for the official Yellow Cab stations; do not take the black gypsy cabs (they are not regulated).
• bus (approximately 1 hour and $10): Bus stops are located at each terminal. Ask an information booth attendant where to find the closest bus stop. NOTE that busses go to only a select number of places within Manhattan - ask the bus driver for the stop closest to our location.
• subway (approximately 1 hour and $7): Take the Airtrain to Station D - Jamaica Station. Transfer to the Manhattan-bound 'E' train. Take the 'E' to 34th St./Penn Station. Exit onto 8th Ave. Turn right on 8th and walk South (downtown) to 28th St. Turn left on 28th and walk one block to 7th Ave. We are on the far side of the street between 27th and 28th (closer to 28th).

From Newark Airport

• cab (approximately 1 hour and $50 plus tip): Cab are located outside the departure doors at various cab stations. Ask an information booth attendant where to find the closest cab station.
• bus (approximately 1 hour and $10): Bus stops located outside the departure doors at various bus stops. Ask an information booth attendant where to find the closest bus stop. NOTE that busses go to only a select number of places within Manhattan - ask the bus driver for the stop closest to our location.

Parking Information

• Since we are located within 3 blocks of Madison Square Garden, there are plenty of parking garages in the area. It is best to drive around and ask which garages have availability. MAKE SURE to find out when the garage closes, as some close early. Expect to pay $20 for the first hour and more each additional hour.
• A nice garage is on 30th street between Eighth and Seventh Avenues and they are open 24/7. They are a 4 minute walk from us.
• An inexpensive garage is on 30th street between Eighth and Ninth Avenues (212-967-7112), however they close at 8pm. They are a 10 minute walk from us.
