A leading authority on voice-over and Chief Edge Officer of Edge Studio, David Goldberg has cast and directed thousands of voice-over productions. He has also coached innumerable voice actors, from beginners to top working pros and celebrities.

David says, “Although I don’t have a golden voice, I guess my ears work pretty well.”

Indeed. David's ears are considered the best in the industry.

He's known for an uncanny ability to provide super-quick yet precise direction. Because he sees things from all industry perspectives, many veteran voice actors rely on him as their mentor. David is also one of the most active directors and speakers, frequently illustrating his practical answers with fun anecdotes from his many years of experience.

Soon after founding Edge Studio as a music-recording facility in 1988, David added spoken voice recording to its repertoire. In response to many clients asking him for voice over guidance, David wrote the first edition of the "Voice Over Technique Guidebook" in 1992.

Since 2000, Edge Studio has focused exclusively on spoken voice, and is now one of the world's premiere voice over production, casting, and training facilities.

Clients and agents rely on David's ability to pinpoint the right voice actor for their production. Voice actors rely on his ability to help them find their full potential, benefiting from his perception, straight-forwardness, production savvy, and those acute ears.

People and companies that David has worked with at Edge Studio include: Nickelodeon, Disney, Pixar, DaimlerChrysler, The US Postal Service, Scholastic, IBM, The United Nations, countless radio stations, National Public Radio, ESPN, Discovery, Mel Brooks, Joan Rivers, Eartha Kitt, Tom Brokaw, John Ratzenberger, Denise Austin, Mark Linn-Baker, and scores of leading Broadway and TV performers.

Edge Studio remains one of the country's most acclaimed voice over facilities, offering voice over production, casting, and education.

Graeme is also a working voice actor, so brings an actor's perspective on the need of educational content and other types of support to the voiceover community. He works with the Edge team on building awesome products and services that enable Edge Studio to even better serve voice actors and production clients around the world. Leanne Linsky

Director of Marketing & Community Development

Originally from Waukegan, Illinois, Leanne left the comfort of the Midwest for a life of endless buffets and extreme desert heat (but it was OK because it was a dry heat) to further her education at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She graduated with a B.S. in Business Management and went right to work gaining a wide range of experience in the corporate world, from accounting and marketing, to managing construction schedules and an entire service team for an award-winning Fortune 200 company.

Leanne played an integral role during mergers and acquisitions, creating and managing all team-building, new-hire on-boarding and training, and family events. Officially the Manager of Business Solutions & Cultural Development, she was appropriately nicknamed by co-workers as the "Director of Fun." You can ask her about it, but as the saying goes, "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas."

In 2006 Leanne doubled down and took a gamble, by moving to NYC with just two suitcases and a sense of humor. But after nine cold winters, Leanne left the Big Apple for sunny California, trading her winter coat for some sunscreen.

When Leanne's not at Edge Studio, she puts her comedy muscles to work at writing, acting and stand-up. She’s enjoying her life on the beach, learning how to walk in flip-flops, and panning for gold.

Amy Goelen

Social Media Coordinator

Amy is a bizarre combination of artist, tech geek, yogini, book nerd, and part-time foodie. The perfect eclectic mix for working with social media.

She's a Southern California native living in LA. Having graduated from Brooks Institute with a BA in Commercial Photography, she’s also a professional photographer.

Amy loves navigating the world of social media, interacting with a global audience and seamlessly creating an online presence over multiple platforms.

She also works with people one-to-one. Her techie and book-nerd skills merge when she works with audiobook narrators -- Amy helps proof, edit, and master audio files for some of the industry’s most incredible voice talent.

Amy spends the rest of her time creating fine-art photoportraits for her book projects, depicting men practicing yoga, and AcroYoga® couples. (AcroYoga is a blend of yoga, acrobatics and other arts.)

When not working, Amy practices yoga herself, enjoys her young daughter, reads, and takes advantage of Santa Monica’s beach weather being perfect all year long.

At the age of five Paul memorized Steve Martin's, "A Wild and Crazy Guy" which he would recite in living room performances for family members and neighbors. Thirty years later Paul finally moved to New York City from Hampton, Virginia to pursue his dream of performing comedy. Paul has honed his administration and audio video skills in some pretty diverse venues such as record stores and video stores, editing military training videos, television production for MTV and the Discovery Channel, owning his own UPS store and working for a fashion designer. When he's not holding down the fort at Edge, he can be found around the city performing with his improv team GLORY HAIM. Paul would also like you to know that he loves dogs, tacos, podcasts and rock music (but not necessarily in that order).

Leslie Chastain

Coordinating Producer

Native Texan Leslie Chastain has a natural appreciation for the little things in life, like watching fireflies on a warm summer night, saying good morning to her neighbors, and a small neighborhood general store called “Walmart.”
Still, she wanted to broaden her horizons and life experience a little bit more, so, after receiving degrees in Communications and Theatre from the University of Texas, Leslie packed it all up to move to New York City. Since arriving in 2011, Leslie has explored the world of acting in commercial gigs like the “Girl Watching TV” Dr. Pepper commercial, a cat food ad called “Alternate On-Call,” and one called “Lady Making your Drink.”
On the Edge Studio team, she combines her experience in education, service, and the entertainment industry to help budding artists become the best performers they can be. When not doing that working, Leslie enjoys getting hooked on new television shows, watching movies, and running to some sweet, sweet early ’90s jams.
