That's understandable, we know there are many questions to answer.
Sometimes it helps to talk with someone experienced at working with people getting started in voice-over. We're always glad to share our knowledge with you!

Lansom Florists Valentine's Day Script
A floral shop hired us to record their radio ad for Valentine’s Day. We're searching for a voice-talent who is open to having fun, playing it up, being a ham. We'll cast someone who isn't afraid to be creative and take some liberty. Have fun with this one.
The read should begin with a straight, stern, non-humorous tone - with perhaps even a slight "classic" radio delivery. But very quickly, the narrator becomes aware of what they are saying and first tries to "hush" it (think "achem" and throat clears). Soon after that, the announcer begins to "play it up"... quickly adding more and more of a comedic tone. Right after the climax, the announcer suddenly realizes that they've gone overboard and "achems" again and tries to go back to the opening tone (straight, stern). Send us your take of this, with no slate. Music and sfx are fine, but not necessary.
This Valentine’s Day, people all over the world will get some. Many will get some at home. Some will get some at the office. Others will even get some over the phone or internet. Ahhhh. But if you'd like to give some, then order roses from Lansom Florists, where roses are so beautiful, it will entice your special someone to make sure that you get some. Lansom Florists... Where giving is as much fun as getting.
Remember to check Archived Contests next Friday to learn who won, with explanations of why they won and why others didn’t, and hear some examples of each.
