Just wanted to offer my feedback on last night's "Tech-Talk" session. I'm glad I attended! It was helpful learning about vo products that I wasn't aware of and hearing what others are using. I think it's great having a place where we can exchange information, get our questions answered and help others with their questions. Plus, it's a good opportunity to network and get to know each other.

It was really helpful too, David, having you on the phone to answer some of the questions and share your knowledge. I appreciate you taking time out of your busy schedule to be there.

The webinar was very informative and Scott did an amazing job managing the session.

Wow - where to I begin? When I first received the email invite to the Talk Time event I was somewhat hesitant. I just knew it would be a set up - you know, "come join us and learn all there is about the world of VO!" Of course the reality of it all is that you receive more of a tease and a solicitation on how to find out more information for a substantial fee. My experience with Talk Time was completely the opposite and was a delightful learning experience. I shared with my wife that this was one of the most rewarding things I had done by investing time in learning more about the business and even tips on building my own home studio. So much information in only one hour. Each person on the webinar was so genuine and willing to share their experience, expertise and perspective.

In short, I can not tell you how glad I am that I chose to join the event and I so look forward to future events. You guys ROCK and I look forward to receiving all that you have to offer in helping me build my VO business.

The pleasure was all mine! Your entire staff is priceless from all I’ve encountered. I have retired for the third time after being in broadcasting for 60 years. That’s six oh! After managing 7 radio and 2 TV stations and hiring voices during many years, I find myself in the position of ‘going for the gold ’myself in these years. I’m really looking forward to joining the group that I hear on your Webinar
programs. Through experiencing the ‘oil bust’ of the 80’s, living in New Orleans, I saw my fortune evaporate, but never my fortunes.
Your sharing of so much outstanding information to one and all is so refreshing these days!

I got a real kick out of the article by Joan Baker who accurately noted that the feminine gender is ignored so often because of the lack of a “Voice of God” quality. A la Betty Furness of many years past, the gals sure know how to sell the product. An Edge background would equate to a post-graduate degree to so many I would think. It’s obvious you’ve proved that your ladies are ‘in waiting’ and making the most of your training!! Keep up the good work of helping so many at a time when they really need the direction.

My apologies for the delayed response. I feel it's important to share what a great topic and amazing discussion we had last Sunday! Sometimes as voice artist we forget the basics of taking the needed steps to take care of our voices as we ready ourselves for the next session. I hope that others found a benefit in the tips I shared on the webinar as I most certainly gained a lot from what others had to say. It doesn't matter your skill level, in my opinion Talk Time is the place to be Sunday nights!

I participated in the TechTalk last sunday. I had a great time, listening in, asking my questions and getting them answered. I learned a lot that evening.

Though, I'm not a professional voicer, I did also quietly listened in on the PRoTalk session, to learn and takes notes from the current working VO professionals! The information, again, was very invaluable.

Scott, the moderator, took a few extra minutes with me to help me at the end of the Webinar tonight. I wanted to let him know that the problem was that in the audio settings on my computer I did not have my headset's unidirectional microphone selected. It sounded like an air conditioning vent and was picking up a mild echo (even though the room was dead quiet) -- it was because instead of the headset mic, the internal computer microphone was selected by mistake.

So, if he ever encounters another bewildered attendee, especially one who has a new headset, that may be the problem.

Thank him for the extra effort for me. I'm looking forward to my orientation webinar later this month and I suspect my stuff will work fine, thanks to him.


I just want to say how much I enjoy the conference calls on Sunday evening. As a newbie I have found them very informative on many subjects. I know this requires time and effort - thanks for doing it and keep it up - Great Job!

I loved it. James Romick did a great job of keeping everyone active and controlling one heckler. His sense of humor made everyone feel at ease. I'll be going to any in the future that involve authors. I've still a lot to learn.


You all are very supportive of the VO community as a whole and we certainly appreciate it. I just submitted my first audiobook and it is great to have somewhere to ask questions.


I'm never disappointed with 'Talk Time.' Graeme does a fantastic job and with all the guests - it's very informative. It's well worth staying awake until10:00pm. Thank you!


Being a "newbie" to voice acting, I found listening in on "Talk Time" seminars very informative. The seminars were filled with helpful tips to assist me in my journey to become a voice actor. I look forward to gaining more insight by participating with more of the diverse seminars.


Everything is just fine with talk time. It's the highlight of my week.

David - Wow! Thank you for the invitation to participate in this evenings phone conference! I learned a lot from everyone and am encouraged to learn more. I think the 'hesitation' in the beginning was about good manners and not wanting to 'cross-talk' or interrupt other speakers. However, once we got going, I believe a lot was accomplished. I thoroughly enjoyed everyone's comments and information. I'm looking forward to next week and will hopefully be putting together an audition tape soon.

I love talk time! I have learned so much listening to others answer questions about the VO business. It is my favorite way to learn about the journey into VO. People are always very kind and informative which as a newbie helps so much. It is Great to hear about their experiences. So many of my questions have been answered in an hour on Sunday! Please keep it going, it is a very very worthwhile segment.


Another enjoyable session. I jumped in before it even started to ask about microphones.

The presenters and other participants gave some great feedback on this as well as software.

The best advice was to speak to Mr Bill Dexter at B&H for advice on microphones which I did, and I suspect saved myself $1500.00 by doing so. He was very knowledgeable and helpful.


I very much enjoyed the archived "Talk Time" entitled Promos and Trailers.
The discussion regarding the technical aspects of our industry was very much appreciated. Lots of good material and food for thought. Thank you all again for this forum.

Hello There!

I really enjoyed the Web class last Sunday. I just got laid off from my on air radio job, after nearly 34 years, and voice over work seemed like something I could do. Many of the questions were moot for me, as I will most likely use actual commercials and voice work that I produced over the years, but I loved the idea of all these folks coming together to ask questions, and the moderator/teacher being there to answer and steer the conversation.

It was a revelation for me, and I look forward to more of the same. What a great resource!
